The Old City Cemetery Committee’s invites you to a tour that focuses on early perennials in Hamilton Square on March 15, 2014 @ 10:00 a.m.  Visit the Hamilton Square Garden in the Old City Cemetery for a look at early perennials, which thrive in the Sacramento Valley. Rain cancels. 

 Free parking is available in the lot at 10th & Broadway, across the street from the 10th Street entrance. Assemble in the cemetery in the front parking lot. Tours are free; however, donations are appreciated and benefit cemetery preservation projects.

This special monthly cooking class is focused on incorporating fresh ingredients designed for a healthy and well balanced diet. You're invited to join this ongoing adult cooking series - couples are welcome, too!

What's the difference between a mausoleum and a tomb?  Are there any in the Old City Cemetery?  Who's buried in them?  Inquiring minds will discover the answers to all these questions on this Saturday stroll.

The cemetery is located at 1000 Broadway, Sacramento. Free parking is available in the lot at 10th & Broadway, across the street from the 10th Street entrance. Join the Old City Cemetery Committee on February 22 @ 10:00 for a tour that celebrates the contributions of Sacramento’s African Americans.    

Free born or slaves, slavery was not born in them. Celebrate the contributions of Sacramento’s African-American community as they struggled to gain a foothold in a dynamic and often hostile environment, and meet barbers, soldiers, caterers, singers, pastors, and just plain folk who settled the frontier.
