Midtown Announces Rainbow Crosswalks Community Unveiling on October 10

Councilmember Steve Hansen, the Sacramento Rainbow Chamber and the Midtown Business Association (MBA) are proud and excited to invite the community to the unveiling of the Rainbow Crosswalks project at 20th & K Streets in the Lavender Heights neighborhood of Midtown Sacramento on Saturday morning, October 10, at 9 a.m. during the popular Midtown Farmers Market. Designed to celebrate the region’s LGBT community, the creatively designed crosswalk is similar to those installed in other U.S. cities, including Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle and West Hollywood, to name a few.

"We’re thrilled that the rainbow crosswalks project is coming to fruition,” said Councilmember Steve Hansen. "It represents the openness and diversity of Midtown, and celebrates the history of the LGBT community in the area.”
