The Front Street Animal Shelter provides 3,000 - 5,000 pounds of pet food to pet owners in need every week. Since establishing the program three years ago this is the first time the pantry has been empty. The program is 100% donation based and provides pet food to thousands of Sacramento residents. The resources are available to all Sacramento residents with the goal of helping keeping animals in their original homes and out of the shelter.
If you are interested in donating to the pet pantry program the Front Street Shelter is located at 2127 Front Street Sacramento, CA 95818. Hours of operation: Wednesday - Sunday from 9am - 5pm.
Christine Vourakis, a Sacramento State professor of nursing and a nationally recognized expert on mental health and addictions, has been named to the 2014 Class of Fellows by the American Academy of Nursing (AAN). She will be inducted during the organization’s October conference in Washington, D.C.
